First Steps
Thinking about making Redemption your home?
There’s no single way it has to be done, but use the outline below to give you a general idea of what resources are available to you as you navigate settling in!
Newcomer’s Lunch
Our Newcomer’s Lunch is an informal meet-and-greet with a few of our pastors and leaders. It’s a chance to hear who we are as a church, what we’re all about, and ask any questions you might have.
We host our Newcomer’s Lunch on the second Sunday of every month, right after the service. We’d love to meet you!
Redemption 101
Before getting fully involved, we want you to have a clear understanding of who we are and what we believe. Redemption 101 is a one-session class where we dive deeper into our core beliefs and help equip you to live out your faith as part of the Redemption family.
Baptism Class
If you’re a follower of Jesus but haven’t yet been baptized, we’d encourage you to attend this class. At Redemption, we believe baptism is a step of obedience for every believer, and we practice believer’s baptism—reserved for those who have personally trusted in Christ.
This class will walk you through what Scripture teaches about baptism and explain how we approach it as a church. It’s not a commitment—just a helpful first step. After that, our hope is that you’ll be ready to take this important step of faith!
Connect
Church isn’t just about attending on Sundays—it’s about belonging to a community. Whether you’re in grade school, a young adult, a parent, or 55+, there’s a ministry here designed to help you grow and connect with others in your season of life.
Wherever you’re at, the next step is to start building real relationships within the church family. Let’s get you connected.
Serve
Once you’ve found your footing at Redemption, it’s time to jump in and give back. Serving is a practical way to live out your faith and share the love of Christ with others—whether that’s through kids' ministry, the welcome team, parking, worship, outreach, or more.
There’s a place for everyone to contribute. When you serve, you’re not just filling a role—you’re helping build the body of Christ.
Give
Everything we’re able to do as a church—from Sunday services to outreach in our community—happens through the faithful giving of those who call Redemption home.
We want you more than we want your money. But as you grow in your walk with Christ and become more rooted here, giving financially is a meaningful way to honour God and invest in what He’s doing through our church.
Membership
While church membership isn’t a biblical requirement, it is a meaningful way to commit to the life and mission of Redemption. Becoming a member helps our elders, deacons, and staff know who has chosen to plant roots here—so we can better care for, pray for, and equip those who call this church home.
If you’re planning to be part of Redemption for the long haul, we’d sincerely encourage you to take this final step and become a member of our church family.
